Marillen Fruit Processing Ltd. is Hungarian company located at Kiskunfélegyháza, established in 1993.

 

Presently the main activity of our company is aseptic fruit purees production. These natural, half-ready products made of fresh fruits are mainly bought by Hungarian and foreign fruit juice producers, and baby-food preparing companies.

Our general products are fruit purees and/or vegetable purees prepared from sour cherry, apricot, peach, plum, pear, elderberry, blackberry, apple and quince fruits and organic tomato, pumpkin and carrot vegetables, which we produce in a 4-5 ton/year quantity for our customers.

Constant aim of Marillen Ltd. is to widen our circle of customers to produce merchantable and high standard products from the excellent quality Hungarian fruits.

For the production of aseptic vegetable and fruit pulp produced in choice we established our Quality Control System according to the ISO 9002 standard in 1999 and the Food-Safety Control according to the HACCP, which was extended to cold store activity in 2002 – already in compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Among our customers there a more baby-food producing companies and we are preparing organic products for them in quantities getting larger and larger, with the strict control of quality assurance organization.

We are trying to keep good business cooperation and be maximally correct towards our fruit suppliers and fruit puree buyers as well to maintain a long term, balanced relationships.

 

The raw material base of our company is stable and balanced in the whole period of our activities. We have built an arborescent, tight relationship-system with the bigger gardening companies in the whole country and with the coppers in the region as well. Marillen Fruit Processing Ltd. has always been a reliable paying partner, and tries to stay that way in the future too.

To improve our competitiveness and the quality of our products, we are continuously taking care of the renovation and modernization of our factory.

Operation of our company is constantly efficient since its establishment. We always invest 80-90 % of our yearly outcome in development and/or in increasing our base capital.


Long-term aim of Marillen Fruit Processing Ltd. is to carry out the investments resulting stable operation, and widening the profile of the factory, and the expanding of the product-scale from the merchantable and exclusive flavoured Hungarian fruits.


With this in view we built our modern refrigerator in 1998, which have been enlarged several times since then. Presently 9 chambers are performing nearly every type of cooling request: standard and ULO cold storage, quick-freezing and –25 oC cold storage in the 600 ton refrigerator.


With the investments one of the new activities is the quick-frozen fruit production and bulk pack export-sale. The other profile is the packing and continuous sale of the high quality stored fruit.

 

We process and sell about 400 tons/year of quick frozen sour cherry, apricot, plum, blackberry, apple and pumpkin (conventional and BIO products), from which 85% is exported. Our goods are produced by great deal of live labour in prime quality satisfying even special requirements

In the past few years we raised some low capacity fluidization refrigerators as well as we bought a few equipment (dicing and sterilizing machines, stone removing machines) required for increasing processing level.

The cold store was made in a way that it can be extended if necessary. The extension seems to be necessary in 2003 for the satisfaction of purchaser demands. We also need to enlarge our manipulating and freezing compartment rooms.

When carrying out of the developments we are continuously keeping in mind to fulfil the requirements and the expectations of the EU.
